Dublin Chamber and property advisor, Savills Ireland, have today, Monday 13 July, launched ‘Why Dublin?’ – a print and online publication showcasing Dublin’s economic credentials to multinational companies around the globe.

The 28-page publication was produced in the midst of COVID-19 restrictions, to promote Dublin as a key location for FDI as the economy re-opens, and will be targeted at multinationals in various sectors including ICT, financial, legal and pharmaceutical.

Commenting on the publication, Dublin Chamber CEO Mary Rose Burke said “It is vital that we continue to showcase the many wonderful attributes that the Dublin region has to offer the world’s best companies. Dublin is home to more than 1,400 FDI companies, employing more than 100,000 people, and there is huge potential to grow these numbers further over the coming years. These companies have not arrived in Dublin by accident, but have made the strategic decision to base themselves here due to the many attributes that Dublin offers, including a young, skilled workforce, great connectivity and an attractive business environment.”

Michael Healy, Director of Tenant Representation at Savills Ireland said a major part of Savills business is finding and securing suitable office space for FDI companies seeking to establish or expand their presence in Dublin. “This process begins with promoting the attributes of the city, and clearly communicating why it is an ideal location for their business. Pre-COVID-19, much of this was done by travelling to the likes of the US, Asia Pacific and indeed Europe, to meet with key decision makers in these companies. However, with business travel on hiatus for the time-being, we need to look at other ways of promoting Dublin – and this publication does just that.”

‘Why Dublin?’ will be promoted amongst members of Dublin Chamber, clients of Savills around the globe, and on various social media platforms.

Some of the key stats in ‘Why Dublin’ include:
