The fit out of a 24,000 sq. ft Limerick city centre location in just three months is an incredibly tough challenge, but that was what was required for UBER’s Thomas St. office in Limerick

The project involved a large scale refurbishment and fit out of existing city centre location, with all of the logistical challenges that entails. Fast-tracked procurement procedures and flexible working times all had to be utilised in order to meet deadlines and local sensitivities.

Despite the significant challenges, the project was delivered in less than 14 weeks both on budget and on time, allowing a delighted client to meet its launch date

The modern fit-out of 4 floors over a very tight programme successfully delivered the space as a European Centre of Excellence for the client. The design of the space incorporates desking for approx. 300 staff and includes one full floor of training areas and breakout space.

A key feature of the design was exposed services and acoustic rafts which were installed as the property was taken from a shell condition to a fully finished and furnished space for the end user.  The scope included the design and construction of a modern contemporary office space with 15 fully AV functional meeting rooms, 2 comms rooms, 9 phone booths and kitchen and break out areas on all floors.

The clients occupation of the property in the centre of Limerick city has rejuvenated this city centre location.

“What a roaring opening!  You all have been epic, and have gone above and beyond what I’d have hoped for.  All parties have been amazing and truly delivered us a cool, modern office that we are incredibly proud of. Watching people coming in yesterday is what I do this for, they were blown away by the scale and quality of this office” – Tom Westall
