On Wednesday next, September 11th, Tuath Housing will open applications for 50 cost rental homes at the Folkstown development in Balbriggan. The brand-new one, two and three-bedroom A-rated houses, built by Glenveagh Homes, will have rents set at €1,150, €1,272 and €1,570 per month respectively. With rents more than 30% below the local area average for similar type-properties, the new homes offer a long-term, secure, affordable rental option for middle-income earners.
Located only a 5-minute drive from the beautiful seaside town of Balbriggan, the wider Folkstown development will consist of 229 homes on completion. The new cost rental homes are being delivered by Tuath, with support from Fingal County Council, through the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage’s Cost Rental Equity Loan (CREL) scheme and private financing via Housing Finance Agency (HFA). Successful applicants will be selected through an online lottery system and informed once the application process has closed.
Tuath Housing is one of Irelands largest not-for-profit Approved Housing Bodies and a leading deliverer of cost rental homes across the nation.
