Cairn Homes have been granted planning permission by An Bord Pleanala for the residential development of its 8.7 acre site at Montrose, Dublin 4.
The planning grant will enable Cairn to construct 611 apartments, three town houses, a childcare facility, two cafés, a change of use for the existing Mount Errol building for residents’ facilities and a gym. The development will also feature 2.5 acres of landscaped publicly open space.
Cairn’s focus is on designing and delivering exceptional apartment schemes in great locations. It is currently completing Donnybrook Gardens, a new premium apartment development very close to Montrose, which launches soon. Cairn looks forward to the opportunity of adding Montrose to its expanding delivery portfolio of high quality apartment developments.
The Board in its direction stated that the Cairn development ”is considered to be of strategic and national importance having regard to the definition of strategic housing development….and its potential to contribute to the achievement of the Government’s policy to increase delivery of housing from its current undersupply set out in Rebuilding Ireland”.
