Fingal County Council is opening applications for the Dun Emer Affordable Home Purchase Scheme through an online portal open on 4 May 2021 at 12 noon until 31 May 2021 at 5 pm.
39 affordable housing units are available, including 15 three-bed terrace units and eight units each of two-bed apartments, three-bed duplexes and three-bed semi-detached units.
Successful candidates who submit a full application with supporting documentation will be chosen on a first come / first serve basis and will be placed on a panel.
Fingal County Council will hold a panel beyond the full allocation of the 39 properties and make offers to eligible candidates in the instance where a candidate who has been made an offer can not raise the appropriate funds for the designated property.
All successful candidates on receiving an offer of a property in this scheme will be required to provide evidence of Help To Buy application for first time buyers.
They will also be required to provide a fully refundable deposit of €4,000 to the developer on accepting the offer.
Prices will start from €166,000 for the two-bedroom apartments; from €206,000 for the three-bedroom duplexes; from €250,000 for the three-bedroom terraced; and from €258,000 for the three bedroom semi-detached homes.
An Equity Charge will protect the public interest against equity speculation. One of the conditions of sale under this Scheme is that the purchaser will remain liable to repay the percentage discount below market value that they benefited from when buying the property. They can pay this off at any time or if the property is sold.
