Savills has announced the appointment of leading property industry figure, Mary Birmingham as a consultant to Savills Development & Consultancy Division, which is headed-up by Mark Reynolds.
Ms Birmingham’s experience spans over 30 years across all real estate sectors, with a unique exposure to institutional fund management, project management, consultancy and the public sector.
Prior to joining Savills, Mary spent 8 years at NAMA, where she held the position of Head of Asset Management and was a member of the state agency’s senior executive team. She also worked in senior roles at Irish Life Investment Managers and, more recently, Glenveagh Properties PLC.
In recent years, Mary has played a leading role in many of Ireland’s major property transactions and most of the high-profile development projects in the Dublin Docklands including Project Wave, now known as Dublin Landings, where Ballymore are developing over 1 million square feet of offices, apartments and shops, in addition to Boland’s Quay on Grand Canal Dock.
Savills Ireland has the largest development and consultancy division in the country, with 12 full-time employees. The department offer a complete service advising clients on everything from immediate sales, to strategic acquisitions, joint ventures, planning, development management and affordable housing.
