Entekra today announced an investment of $55 million that will see them create 100 high skilled jobs in Monaghan.
These jobs will be in the areas of design engineering, finance, marketing and customer support.
At start-up stage, Entekra was supported by Enterprise Ireland. These 100 new foreign direct investment jobs will be supported by the IDA.
The Monaghan and California based design, engineering and home manufacturing company provides off-site framing for both residential and commercial construction. They have a specific focus on the U.S. housing market.
The investment partner is Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP), and a consortium of private investors.
Speaking this morning, Entekra CEO, Gerry McCaughey, said: “The home construction market is the largest and most inefficient industry in the U.S. Entrekra’s technology allows us to manufacture energy efficient homes at speed and scale. It will reduce waste and improve quality of the home construction process.
“Our aim now is to deliver 100 new jobs at our Monaghan facility between now and the end of the year. We are hiring skilled professionals in design, engineering, estimating, administration and purchasing,” he added.
