C+ W O’Brien are delighted to have achieved their third straight notification of grant of planning with Dublin City Council for Ormond Quay Aparthotel development.

A straight notification of grant implies no request for further information, saving their clients valuable time in the procurement process of potentially 3-6 months to achieve their performing asset.

Commenting on their latest achievement, Arthur O Brien, Managing Director of C+W O’Brien said: “We are delighted with the work of the whole design team including the city planners and conservation architects with whom we worked diligently and collectively to achieve this result. Our clients will be further impressed with the addition of 70 hotel bedrooms to the previously granted 90 units bringing the total to 160 rooms”

To quote from the Dublin City Council Planning Report: ‘Overall it is considered that the proposed development will have a positive impact on the surrounding area in terms of redevelopment of an under-utilised inner-city site and refurbishment and reuse of the protected structures with active ground and first floor uses onto Ormond Quay Lower, as well as enhancing the streetscape at this location. In terms of use, the aparthotel proposal by its nature will introduce vibrancy to the inner city and added footfall and animation of the Liffey Quays.

In addition to their core discipline of architecture, C+W O’Brien also offers project management services, town planning, master planning, urban design and interior design services.
